Nature Walk

by Josée

We can see snow in the mountains across the lake. My children were asking if the snow would be coming soon for them to play in. We’ll probably need to drive up into the mountains to play in the snow. It’s such a strange concept to me.

Watching the trees rustle in the wind.

This week has been windy, rainy and cold. Not the kind of weather for much outdoor play. We still got out on most days. Today we walked along the beach. Leaves and geese poo were scattered everywhere. The leaves were beautiful but the geese poo was… gross. There weren’t even geese around.

Our outing today was short. It would have been longer but my children insisted on walking into the lake and filling their boots with water. They didn’t quite believe me when I said it was too cold to swim in the lake. They cried the whole way home because they had frozen feet. I hope they’ll believe me next time.

I’m joining in on Elisa‘s weekly Nature Walk.

Looks like a lovely spot. My little man would have walked into the lake too.

Enjoy your weekend.
