Yesterday we went for a walk in a nearby demonstration forest. The trails are wide and easy making it an ideal hike for little ones. The viewpoints and lake add interest and are good rest points, which are a must for little people with little legs.
Right now the mosquitoes are out in full force. I purchase a Bug Shirt for Monkey in anticipation of the “squito” onslaught. It works quite well but Monkey starts to feel too hot if he’s running around in it. Thankfully the slight breeze was keeping the flocks of mosquitoes at bay so he could take off the shirt.
I didn’t anticipate the puddles though.
