Josée Bergeron (she/her) is a French-Canadian Indigenous Métis who has been helping parents feel at home in nature since 2009. As a mother of five, ages one to sixteen, Bergeron has over a decade-and-a-half of experience guiding both her children as well as other families into nature. Viewed as parenting expert on the topic of raising outdoor kids and parent-child-nature connection Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC), Active for Life, Explore Magazine and in other parenting books such as Oh Crap, I Have A Toddler by Jamie Glowacki and The Call of the Wild and Free: Reclaiming the Wonder in Your Child’s Education. Bergeron has an educational background in nursing (BSN) from the University of British Columbia and writing from Simon Fraser University (The Writer’s Studio: Creative Writing Certificate). She has an affinity for research, a passion for storytelling and a desire to help families and nature mutually thrive. She is proud to be among a growing movement of educators, experts and parents helping families rediscover the wonders being connected to nature. Born and raised in the central interior of British Columbia, Canada, Bergeron now lives in the Okanagan Valley of British Columbia with her husband and children and is currently working on her first non-fiction parenting book.
