Big fluffy snowflakes have been drifting down from the sky slowly covering everything with a nice layer of fluffy, sticky snow. The perfect kind of snow for rolling into snow people. Even before I got out of bed my two older children, still in pajamas, were making a snow bébé on our outside deck. This sweet little snow person was a herald of things to come later in the day.
With all the delicious snowflakes dancing through the air we were drawn to the outdoors after lunch. My children ran, slipped and skipped through the snow, catching snowflakes on their tongues and eyelashes. Soon snow was patted, rolled and shaped into a snow maman complete with seaweed hair and a bébé underfoot. We left them there looking out towards the snowy lake and wondered what kind of adventures they would have while we were not watching.
So much fun! I wish our snow was sticky. I'm hoping once the plow goes through it will be packed enough for a snow fort 🙂
Wish we had snow! VT, like most of the eastern US, has been locked in unusually warm conditions all month. It's been in the 40's and 50's here. A few snowflakes falling today but it's still in the high 30's and going to warm up, so no white Christmas for us.
Lots of fun for the children. Beautiful photos. Thanks Josee. Alice
